Participative and relational action in the public space mediated by the Glocal Glossary sphere. Reggia di Venaria Reale 2013.

Visitors at Reggia di Venaria Reale saw Da Pozzo come back with a blackboard installation from Piazza Annunziata up Via Mensa to the gardens of the Reggia.
A dialogue, or rather a negotiation, took place between the artist and passers-by. Da Pozzo captured from the visitors some word that belongs to their intimate, familiar or in any case private sphere.

These terms can be defined as codes that can only be recognised and deciphered by those who have a really close relationship with the user.
Through this action-performance with the public, entitled Con parole tue, Da Pozzo seeks out and collects words that the inhabitants of a place invent to give voice to their experiences, their moods, objects and situations of various kinds.
Once the excahnge is over, the word given to Da Pozzo becomes part of the Glocal Glossary archive. The user thus donates an absolutely original part of himself to the community. Through this sharing with others, the public space is made intimate and domestic.

Action produced by IN SITU within META projcet and EX-VOTO (Radical Public Culture) with the support of the European Commission (DGEAC – cultural programme) the second stage of Glocary by the artist Simona da Pozzo will be held at the Giardini Reggia di Venaria (Sunday 16 and 23 June from 11.00) as part of Giornate da Re.
The project, curated by the Su Misura network, is produced by IN SITU within META projcet and EX-VOTO (Radical Public Culture) of Milan, with the support of the European Commission (DGEAC – cultural programme).
