Hallacas

video 8’16”, 1280 x720, found footage editing, color, stereo Italy 2011

The whole video shoots an online research about “how to make hallacas”, a venezuelan dish. The recipe is an excuse to retrace the signs of the memory and of the desire of sharing a cultural heritage. The video is edited in sort of to build a “philological” schedule of actions that accompany the recipe trying to exclude all ingredients of animal origin. The video was born out of a desire to feel included in some kind of ideal metafamily memories.
